Beyond Wi-Fi and the touchscreen, this board manages memory, firmware operation, graphics processing and multimedia decoding for the P2S, reflecting the printer's more capable camera and monitoring features. Every AP board carries its own serial number, which needs to be bound to your printer's original serial number before the printer can rejoin your account. Firmware, activation and software

Proprietary firmware, not a Klipper board

This AP board runs Bambu Lab's own firmware and is not designed to be reflashed with third-party firmware such as Klipper. That closed approach is what allows the P2S to offer integrated Wi-Fi, camera monitoring and cloud print queuing without separate add-on modules.

Pairing with Bambu Studio and the Handy app

Once the serial number binding is complete, your printer reconnects to Bambu Studio and the Handy app exactly as it did before the fault. Firmware updates for the AP board are delivered through the same channels as any routine update, with no separate flashing tool required.
