Z-Height Tool Probe for CNC, with nozzle

This is a high quality Z-probe for a CNC machine.  It is used to calibrate the Z-height of your cutter after a tool change.  How it works is the centre touch plate can be pushed down by the cutter and it sends a signal when the plate is pushed down by 5mm.  It also has a over reach signal, when the touch plate is pushed down further than the trigger distance, then the over reach signal gets triggered. The measurement is extremely repeatable. 

The vertical metal pipe next to the probe is a nozzle through which air is blown to make sure the touching surface is clean and free of dust and shavings which could affect the measurements.  The probe comes with 1.9 meters of metal shielded, oil resistant cable.
