Your SPARKX i7 has been printing every evening for months. Then the first layers start looking uneven, a blob of PETG welds itself to the heater, and the nozzle temperature on the screen drifts a few degrees every time the part cooling fan spins up. Look closely at the toolhead and you will often find the cause: a torn, hardened or filament-caked silicone sock.

This genuine Creality pack gives you three replacement socks shaped for the SPARKX i7 hotend, so you can swap a damaged one in a minute and keep two on the shelf.

The result is a stable nozzle temperature, a cleaner hotend and fewer failed prints.

Genuine Creality Part 4004010305 | Pack of 3 Socks | Moulded for the SPARKX i7 Hotend | Rated to 300°C | Flame-Retardant Silicone | Tool-Free Fitting | Fits i7, i7 Autofill and Colour Combo

Who the SPARKX i7 hot end sock is built for

Home users and hobbyist Makers

The Creality SparkX i7 3D Printer with CFS Lite 4 Filament Dispenser is built for people who want to print, not tinker. A worn sock is one of the few parts you will replace regularly, and this pack covers that for a long time. Fit a fresh sock before a four-colour gift set of planters or a stack of TPU phone cases, and the hotend holds temperature for the whole job.

Schools and classrooms

Learners load filament, clear jams and bump toolheads, and socks take the knocks. Three spares in the drawer mean a teacher can fix a torn sock between periods without ordering parts or taking the printer offline. A class can finish its batch of PLA name plates or simple engineering brackets on schedule, even if one sock gets damaged mid-term.

Small print businesses

If you sell printed products, every failed print costs filament and time. Running several i7 printers at up to 500 mm/s puts sustained heat and fan airflow across the hotend all day. Replacing socks on a schedule, rather than waiting for one to split, keeps first layers consistent across the farm. A run of 50 PETG cable organisers comes off the plate with the same surface finish on the last part as the first.

What sets the SPARKX i7 hot end sock apart

Temperature that stays where you set it

The SPARKX i7 cools prints hard to reach high speeds, and that airflow also hits the hotend. Without insulation, the heater has to keep correcting, and the reading from the thermistor swings by a few degrees. This sock wraps the heater and blocks that draft, so the controller holds a steady temperature with less effort. A stable melt zone gives you consistent extrusion, cleaner layer lines and fewer under-extruded patches on fast perimeters. Some retailers also note that a well-fitted sock reduces the risk of temperature fault errors during high-speed printing.

Made for the SPARKX i7, not adapted from another printer

Generic socks for MK8 or V6 style blocks will not seat on the i7 toolhead. This genuine Creality part, number 4004010305, is moulded to the shape of the SPARKX i7 hotend, with a notch that aligns with the nozzle and openings for the wiring. It sits flush, so it does not rub the print or catch on the front cover. That precise fit is what lets it insulate properly instead of hanging loose and letting airflow through the gaps.

Filament wipes off instead of baking on

Ooze and blobs land on the hotend during every colour change and every failed first layer. On bare metal, that plastic carbonises and builds up into a crust that eventually drops onto your print. Silicone resists sticking, so most residue peels off once it cools. The material is flame-retardant and rated for continuous use up to 300°C, matching the SPARKX i7's maximum nozzle temperature, so it handles PLA, PETG, PLA-CF and TPU without softening or degrading at normal printing temperatures.

Three socks, one minute each to fit

Like every consumable in fused filament fabrication, socks wear out. Repeated heating cycles harden the silicone, and clumsy nozzle cleaning can tear it. Buying a pack of three means you always have a spare ready when that happens. Fitting is tool-free: remove the toolhead front cover, pinch the old sock and pull it outwards and downwards, then align the new sock's notch with the nozzle and push it in at an angle. Refit the cover and you are printing again within minutes.

Frequently asked questions about the SPARKX i7 hot end sock

Should I buy this pack or the PrintEase Kit for SparkX-i7?

Buy this pack if you only need socks. The Creality PrintEase Kit for SparkX-i7 is a full maintenance kit with five complete hotends, an extruder assembly, a heating assembly, cutters, wiping strips and socks. It suits schools and businesses that cannot afford downtime, while this pack covers the most common wear item.

Will this sock fit my K2 Plus or K1C?

No, it fits only the SPARKX i7 range. The K2 and K1 hotends have different shapes and use their own socks, such as the Silicone sock for Creality K1/K1 Max & K1C. Some overseas listings group i7 and K2 socks on one page, so always check the part number 4004010305.

How do I remove a sock that is stuck to the hotend?

Let the hotend cool, pinch both sides of the sock and pull it outwards and downwards. Creality's own guide says you can use a spanner to gently lever it off if it resists. Never pull on a hot sock, as a warm nozzle can burn you and softened plastic may tear the silicone.

How often should I replace the silicone sock?

Replace it when it is torn, hardened or caked with burnt filament. Check it every time you swap or clean a hotend. Creality recommends replacing the i7 hotend after about six months of use, which is a sensible moment to fit a fresh sock as well.

Can I get these locally instead of ordering from overseas?

Yes, we sell genuine Creality SPARKX i7 parts from our South African stores and ship nationwide by courier. That avoids international shipping delays and customs costs, and any warranty queries go through our local support team rather than an overseas seller.
