Your big jobs keep running into limits. A full-size helmet has to be split into six parts. A batch of nylon carbon-fibre jigs comes off a passively warm enclosure with lifted corners. And every multicolour job means checking which spool is loaded, how much is left and whether the run will make it overnight.
The Creality K2 Plus Combo removes all three limits. It gives you a 350 mm build cube in a chamber actively heated to 60°C, a 350°C hotend, and the CFS, which identifies spools by RFID and swaps to a backup spool when one runs out. Two AI cameras calibrate flow and watch the print, so a large job does not need you standing next to it.
The headline benefit: large-format, multicolour production printing in engineering plastics, from R27,999.99 (price at time of writing; our prices change often, so check the current price at the top of this page).
350 x 350 x 350 mm build volume | 60°C actively heated chamber | 350°C hardened-tip hotend | 30,000 mm/s² acceleration | 4 to 16 colours with CFS | Dual AI cameras | Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi
Who the Creality K2 Plus Combo is built for
Cosplay and large-format creators
Your job is making big, wearable pieces without days of seams and filler. The 350 mm cube fits a full-scale helmet, a pauldron or a 340 mm prop section in one piece, and four colours let you print trim, gems and panel lines in place. Auto filament relay means a long job swaps to a second spool of the same colour instead of stopping. A full-size helmet prints in one piece over two overnight runs.
Prototyping and manufacturing engineers
You need jigs, fixtures and end-use parts that survive heat and abrasion. The 60°C heated chamber, 350°C hotend and hardened steel nozzle tip handle PA-CF, PAHT-CF, PPA-CF and PC, materials that warp or wear out lesser printers. The toolhead camera calibrates pressure advance and flow automatically, so dimensions stay consistent between batches. A set of PPA-CF welding fixtures or a 330 mm PC enclosure lid prints in a single overnight run.
Small print farm operators
Uptime and fleet control matter more than peak speed. The Ethernet port keeps jobs flowing when Wi-Fi drops, the Fluidd web interface and root access let you script and monitor printers, and RFID spool recognition removes manual material setup. One 350 mm plate holds about 2.7 times the parts of a 250 mm printer. A plate of 80 two-colour ASA asset tags is a single unattended production run.
What sets the Creality K2 Plus Combo apart
A 350 mm cube on a frame that stays rigid at speed
Large CoreXY FDM printers usually trade stiffness for size, and the result is ringing and soft corners at high acceleration. The K2 Plus is built on a die-cast aluminium alloy frame, and all axes use step-servo motors with 32,768 microsteps per revolution, which correct position errors that open-loop stepper motors would miss. That is why it can run at up to 600 mm/s and 30,000 mm/s² while holding quality. Input shaping, active belt tensioning and automatic bed tilt calibration keep the gantry square across the full 350 x 350 x 350 mm volume.
A heated chamber for materials that fight back
Engineering plastics shrink as they cool, and a large part shrinks unevenly enough to curl and crack. The K2 Plus actively heats its chamber to 60°C and its bed to 120°C, so the whole part cools slowly. The tri-metal, quick-swap nozzle has a hardened steel tip and reaches 350°C, which covers PC and high-temperature polyphthalamide carbon-fibre (PPA-CF). The dual-gear direct drive extruder pushes up to 40 mm³/s, and a built-in air purifier reduces fumes from ABS and ASA.
Two AI cameras: one calibrates, one watches
Most printers in this class have one camera for remote viewing. The K2 Plus has two. The toolhead AI camera measures extrusion and sets pressure advance and flow rate for each material automatically, which is what keeps wall thickness and hole sizes repeatable. The chamber AI camera watches for spaghetti failures, foreign objects on the bed and idle conditions, then pauses the job. Run-out, tangle detection and power-loss recovery complete the protection, so you can leave a 20-hour job overnight.
Multicolour with spools that identify themselves
The CFS holds four 1 kg spools in sealed storage with desiccant and a temperature and humidity display. Creality spools carry RFID tags, so the printer reads material type and colour without manual setup. Auto filament relay swaps to a matching spool when one runs out, and up to four CFS units chain together for 16 colours, powered from the printer itself. The CFS does not actively heat filament, so dry nylon, PC and PVA in a separate dryer before loading them.
An open platform for people who tinker
Creality OS gives you an Expert Mode, root access and a Fluidd web interface, so you can monitor printers from any browser on your network and adjust machine settings beyond what the touchscreen offers. Files transfer over USB, Ethernet or dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, and 32 GB of onboard storage keeps a library of jobs on the printer. Creality Print 5.0 slices G-code and 3MF files with full CFS colour mapping.
Loadshedding does not cost you the print
Power-loss recovery stores the print position and resumes when power returns, so a long job survives an outage. The K2 Plus runs on 100 to 240V and is rated at 1,200 W, mostly from the bed and chamber heaters. If you print through scheduled outages, size your inverter for at least 1.5 kW, or let the printer pause and resume afterwards. The heated chamber also slows cooling during a short outage, which helps resumed layers bond properly.

Against the Kobra S1 Max Combo, the K2 Plus Combo trades active filament drying for 50% higher acceleration, step-servo motors, a second calibration camera and an open Fluidd interface. If your parts fit in 300 mm, the K2 Pro Combo costs less. See all Creality 3D printers.
Materials and software for the Creality K2 Plus Combo
Filaments this printer handles
- PLA (200 to 220°C): leave chamber heating off and open the lid on long jobs to avoid heat creep. Shop Creality PLA.
- PETG (230 to 250°C): use glue stick on the build plate so PETG releases cleanly. Shop Creality PETG.
- ABS and ASA (240 to 260°C, bed 100 to 110°C): preheat the chamber to 50 to 60°C before large parts. Shop Creality ABS.
- TPU (210 to 230°C): feed it directly into the toolhead, not through the CFS, and print at 50 to 100 mm/s. Shop Creality flexible filament.
- PC (260 to 300°C, bed 110 to 120°C): run the full 60°C chamber and dry the spool before loading.
- PA-CF, PAHT-CF and PPA-CF (280 to 320°C): dry for several hours before printing; the hardened steel tip handles the fibres. Find composites under speciality filament.
- PVA and BVOH (190 to 210°C): soluble supports; load only when fully dry, since damp PVA is not supported in the CFS.
Slicers and software
- Creality Print 5.0 or newer: the recommended slicer, with full CFS colour mapping, RFID material sync and network sending.
- OrcaSlicer: includes Creality K2 Plus profiles; send jobs over the network, though Creality Print offers the most complete CFS integration.

Frequently asked questions about the Creality K2 Plus Combo
Is the K2 Plus Combo better than the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max Combo?
It is better for speed, calibration and openness; the Kobra S1 Max is better for wet filaments. The K2 Plus has 30,000 mm/s² acceleration, step-servo motors, a second camera that auto-calibrates flow, and Fluidd access. The Kobra S1 Max dries filament while printing. At the time of writing the K2 Plus Combo costs R27,999.99 and the Kobra S1 Max Combo R23,999.99; prices change often, so check both product pages.
Can the K2 Plus print carbon fibre, nylon and PC?
Yes. The hardened steel nozzle tip handles abrasive PA-CF, PAHT-CF, PPA-CF and PET-CF, the 350°C hotend melts PC and high-temperature nylons properly, and the 60°C heated chamber stops large parts from warping. Because the CFS does not heat filament, dry nylon and PC in a separate dryer before printing.
How long does it take to set up out of the box?
About 30 to 45 minutes, with two people to lift it. The printer arrives pre-assembled, so you fit the touchscreen, remove the transport fixings, mount the CFS and connect its cable and PTFE tube. The printer then runs its own levelling, bed tilt, belt tension and input shaping calibration without manual adjustment.
How often does the nozzle need replacing?
Rarely on standard filaments, because the tri-metal nozzle has a hardened steel tip. With carbon-fibre composites, inspect it every few spools and replace it when extrusion becomes inconsistent or the toolhead camera reports flow problems. The quick-swap design makes replacement a short, tool-free job.
Will the K2 Plus run on South African power, and is there local warranty support?
Yes. It accepts 100 to 240V at 50/60 Hz and is rated at 1,200 W, so use a proper plug rather than a travel adaptor. Power-loss recovery resumes prints after loadshedding. Warranty claims are handled locally at either of our Centurion and Boksburg branches.
