Creality K1 Max 2025 3D Printer

The Creality K1 Max is an excellent printer on its own. It is fast, has a large build volume, and produces very good print quality when it is correctly calibrated. I have been especially impressed with the smooth first layers and the overall finish of my single-colour prints.

Unfortunately, my experience changed after adding the CFS-C multicolour system. Although the CFS-C is advertised as compatible with the K1 Max, the integration does not feel fully developed or truly plug-and-play. Additional upgrade components are required, and I have experienced repeated filament-loading and retraction errors. Colour changes also take a long time and create a considerable amount of filament waste.

The K1 Max itself deserves a strong rating, but Creality needs to improve the reliability and compatibility of the CFS-C upgrade. Customers should also be informed more clearly about exactly which additional parts are required before purchasing it.

I would happily recommend the K1 Max as a fast, capable single-colour printer. However, if you are buying it specifically for dependable multicolour printing with the CFS-C, I recommend doing careful research first and being prepared for troubleshooting.

Overall: a very good printer let down by a multicolour upgrade that still needs refinement.
