Prototyping engineer

At 350 x 320mm, this plate matches the full usable bed area of the H2S, H2D and H2D Pro, Bambu's largest-format printers to date. That is significantly more surface than the 256mm-format plates used on the A1, P1 and X1 series, so it is not interchangeable with those smaller machines.

Textured PEI that skips the glue stick

The surface is sprayed with textured PEI, giving reliable first-layer adhesion on PLA, PETG, TPU and most ABS without a glue stick or hairspray. It is the same finish these printers ship with from new, so your existing slicer profiles carry over without adjustment.

Built to handle a heated chamber

The H2S, H2D and H2D Pro all run an actively heated chamber, up to around 65°C, alongside bed temperatures up to 120°C. The plate's coating is rated to withstand surface temperatures of 180°C, giving headroom above what these printers reach even on demanding high-temperature filaments. That margin matters over the life of the plate, since repeated exposure right at a coating's rated limit tends to shorten its usable lifespan faster than staying comfortably under it.

0.5mm magnetic spring steel base

The PEI coating sits on a 0.5mm magnetic spring steel sheet that seats directly onto the printer's magnetic bed, no clips or screws required. That thickness resists warping across repeated heat cycles, which matters more on a plate this size, since any bow shows up as inconsistent first layers across a large print.

We currently stock the textured single-sided plate shown above for the H2 series. The smooth and engineering-grade H2 plates are included here for reference only, since we do not hold stock of them at present. If you own an A1, P1 or X1 series printer instead, note that our Engineering Build Plate (BAM100) is built for the smaller 256mm bed and will not fit an H2S, H2D or H2D Pro.

Materials and software

Filaments this plate handles

PLA prints cleanly with no glue at a typical hotend range of 190–220°C. PETG grips the textured surface without adhesive, usually around 230–250°C. TPU works well at reduced print speed. ABS, nylon and PC all benefit from the H2 series' heated chamber and 120°C bed ceiling, which help control warping on large parts far better than an unheated-chamber printer could manage at this bed size.

Slicers and software

Bambu Studio is the native slicer for the H2 series and already includes a textured PEI plate profile sized to the H2 bed, so selecting the correct printer and plate before slicing keeps first-layer settings matched to the surface. G-code generated for the H2S, H2D or H2D Pro should always be checked against the specific machine it will run on, since chamber and bed behaviour differ slightly across the three models.

Frequently asked questions

Will this plate fit my H2D Pro the same way it fits an H2S or H2D?

Yes. The H2S, H2D and H2D Pro all share the same 350 x 320mm bed and magnetic mounting system, so this plate seats and calibrates identically across all three.

Can this plate handle high-temperature filaments like ABS, nylon or PC?

Yes, within the limits of the host printer. The surface is rated to 180°C and the H2 series' heated chamber and 120°C bed give these materials the stable environment they need to resist warping on large prints.

Will this plate fit my A1, P1 or X1 series printer as well?

No. This plate is sized specifically for the H2S, H2D and H2D Pro's 350 x 320mm bed. The A1, P1 and X1 series use a smaller 256 x 256mm plate, and the two are not interchangeable.

How often does a plate this size need replacing?

Treat it as a consumable, the same as any Bambu Lab build plate. Adhesion gradually weakens with heavy use, particularly if prints are pried off with a metal scraper, and the surface should never be cleaned with acetone. Most users get many months of regular printing before adhesion drops enough to justify a replacement.

Is there local warranty support in South Africa?

Does the H2D's dual-nozzle system change what this plate needs to handle?

Not in terms of the plate itself. Whether you are printing single-nozzle on an H2S or running dual-material jobs on an H2D or H2D Pro, the print still lands on the same textured PEI surface and the same bed temperature limits apply. The dual-nozzle system changes what happens above the plate, not what the plate itself needs to do.
